Course Final - Design Series
Submission Slideshow (LINK)
Designers create variations of a design in order create multiple solutions to solve a visual problem. Designers are also often given the challenge to create a series of designs that are meant to work together as a larger whole. Design solutions must have individual components, yet be unified, or work together as a whole.
Challenge: use what you have learned this year to create a series OF AT LEAST 3 related designs with ALL of remaining class time
Some ideas might be:
Design a series of Tarot cards Series of zodiac symbols Series of flag designs Series of stamps Series of posters on a particular topic or event Series of comic panels (or pages for a graphic novel) Series of skate board or snowboard designs Series of book cover for a series (ie Harry Potter, Twilight) Series of characters *Any kind of series is allowed (MUST BE ORIGINAL) |
Constructed Response Questions
Following completion of series - answer ALL of the below questions in your online submission:
- How is a series different than variations?
- What unifies or makes your series work together?
- What was your design process? (How did you Investigate? Plan? Create?)
- What do you think it takes to be successful in a design class, and how could those same work
behaviors be useful in a design job or career?
